However, rising apprehension is built on the mammoth surge of cartel groups, organised syndicates, and modish brokers, who are utterly engrossed in or specialised in drug trafficking, within and outside the country. According to logical assessment, revenue from drug trafficking is not only an incentive for existing subscribers, but also an incentive for new entrants into this business. In addition to the danger this practice poses to the continued existence of the country, a multiplier effect will reverberate through society in the near future. Hence, this article interrogates the characters, trends, techniques, and drives responsible for the surge in drug trafficking practices in the country, using Albert Bandura’s social learning theory as the substratum of rationalisation. The article submits that, if concerted efforts are not made to reduce drug abuse, discourage trafficking trends, and halt the flow, Nigeria may well be on the verge of unprecedented crime, ultra-catch-22, and epic violence that have never been experienced.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_01.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>7</pageFrom><pageTo>19</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-001</doi><keywords><keyword>Drug</keyword><keyword>Abuse</keyword><keyword>Youth</keyword><keyword>Barons</keyword><keyword>Trafficking</keyword><keyword>Nigeria</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Matthew</name><surname>Ajiboye Babatope</surname><email>babatope.ajiboye@fuoye.edu.ng</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Peace and Conflict Studies</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>UNODC: World Drug Report 2019: 35 million people worldwide suffer from drug use disorders while only 1 in 7 people receive treatment. The paper begins with a brief description of the mass emigration from Bohemia and Moravia to the USA between 1848 and 1914, and outlines the methodology applied in the paper and the corpus of material that formed the basis of the analysis that informed the text. It also provides an overview of the first Czech-language periodicals/newspapers published in the USA in the 1860s. This is followed by excerpts from newspaper texts illustrating the reflection of the North versus South Civil War in the Czech immigrant press. From the documented excerpts, it is clear that Czechs were continually interested in the American Civil War and, having gone through a difficult experience of oppression themselves in their old homeland, rejected slavery. Therefore, after the outbreak of the Civil War in 1861, they sympathized with the Union. In contrast, they saw Confederate secession as a threat to freedom and democracy, the values they valued most in America.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_02.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>20</pageFrom><pageTo>28</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-002</doi><keywords><keyword>Czech immigrants in the USA</keyword><keyword>The first Czech-printed immigrant periodicals</keyword><keyword>The American Civil War North versus South</keyword><keyword>The image of the war in Czech periodicals</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Alena</name><surname>Jaklová</surname><email>jaklova@ff.jcu.cz</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Jihočeská univerzita v Českých Budějovicích, Filozofická fakulta, Ústav česko-německých areálových studií a germanistiky</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>ŠATAVA, L.: Migrační procesy a české vystěhovalectví 19. století do USA. This method was gradually created based on the pedagogical principles of strengthening autonomous learning, student activation, and the efficient use of limited lesson time. The availability of various types of teaching materials in digital form and the emergence of appropriate software support contributed to its expansion. The practical part of the paper describes a concrete example of the application of the flipped classroom method in teaching business English as part of a bachelor's program at a university. The designed study material and lesson plan was verified in the teaching and evaluated by both the teacher and the students as a suitable method for the enrichment of teaching.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_03.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>29</pageFrom><pageTo>36</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-003</doi><keywords><keyword>Business English</keyword><keyword>Flipped classroom</keyword><keyword>Moodle</keyword><keyword>Interactive activities</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Stanislava</name><surname>Pavlíková</surname><email>stanislava.pavlikova@tul.cz</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Technická univerzita v Liberci, Ekonomická fakulta, Katedra cizích jazyků</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF LIBEREC: CroBoLearn. The authors try to introduce online teaching to other teachers, trainers, lecturers, coaches, etc., using the example of teaching dance techniques. The aim of the research was to find out whether dance instructors had used online teaching during the coronavirus epidemic and, if so, which applications had worked best for them. The qualitative research was based on a questionnaire survey conducted with a group of 13 instructors and 10 students during the coronavirus restrictions and subsequent analysis of the responses. Of the available apps, dance instructors used the Zoom app the most. Based on the results, a methodology was further developed to teach general movement online via the Zoom app, which had been validated by more than a year of practical online teaching.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_04.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>37</pageFrom><pageTo>46</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-004</doi><keywords><keyword>Dance</keyword><keyword>Coronavirus restriction</keyword><keyword>On-line education</keyword><keyword>Zoom application</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Aneta</name><surname>Prchalová</surname><email>aneta.prchalova@pedf.cuni.cz</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Univerzita Karlova, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra tělesné výchovy</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author><author><name>Jana</name><surname>Hájková</surname><email>jana.hajkova@pedf.cuni.cz</email><order>2</order><instituteAffiliation>Univerzita Karlova, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra tělesné výchovy</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author><author><name>Šárka</name><surname>Panská</surname><email>sarka.panska@pedf.cuni.cz</email><order>3</order><instituteAffiliation>Univerzita Karlova, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra tělesné výchovy</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author><author><name>Soňa</name><surname>Jandová</surname><email>sona.jandova@pedf.cuni.cz</email><order>4</order><instituteAffiliation>Univerzita Karlova, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra tělesné výchovy</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>LEHNERT a kol.: Základy sportovního tréninku I. Gained data serve as a means for interpretation and moderation of testing at the language department. Tested students are 1st and 2nd year students of the Faculty of Security Management and the Faculty of Security Management and Security and Legal Studies of the Police Academy of the Czech Republic. For determining the reliability the measurable indicator index of inner consistence with subdivision into scales was set, these scales were used for setting the criteria for the evaluation of the reliability of sub-tests. The reliability of sub-tests is interpreted in a wider contest and is an important step to the optimization of the testing process of creating a test bank for the language department.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_05.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>47</pageFrom><pageTo>59</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-005</doi><keywords><keyword>Test construction</keyword><keyword>Items</keyword><keyword>Reliability</keyword><keyword>Distractors</keyword><keyword>Terms</keyword><keyword>Terminology</keyword><keyword>Practice</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Hana</name><surname>Romová</surname><email>romova@polac.cz</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Policejní akademie ČR v Praze, Fakulta bezpečnostního managementu, Katedra jazyků</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author><author><name>Tomáš</name><surname>Římský</surname><email>tomas.rimsky@polac.cz</email><order>2</order><instituteAffiliation>Policejní akademie ČR v Praze, Fakulta bezpečnostního managementu, Katedra jazyků</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>ALDERSON J. It is based on experience and data from surveys obtained as part of the exchange of language courses at the Technical University of Liberec and the Technical University of Dresden. The data are evaluated in the context of the “Communities of Inquiry” concept. The focus is on the demands placed on teacher support (Teaching presence). Particular attention is paid to the involvement of students in the process of moderating and managing learning processes and related mediation requirements. The article concludes with suggestions for organizational and didactic support for binational, virtually assembled teams at lower levels of linguistic competence.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_06.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>60</pageFrom><pageTo>75</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-006</doi><keywords><keyword>Virtual exchange</keyword><keyword>Teaching presence</keyword><keyword>Mediation</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Karin</name><surname>Schöne</surname><email>karin.schoene@tu-dresden.de</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Technische Universität Dresden, Lehrzentrum Sprachen und Kulturen</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>ANDERSON, T.; ROURKE, L.; GARRISON, D. The study focuses on the professionals in residential social care facilities for the elderly, their definitions of the stress connected to the epidemic, and anti-epidemic measures concerning the Covid-19 disease. We described and analysed the coping experience through qualitative research with one organisation in Liberec. The outcomes from individual open interviews and focus groups were coded and analysed, and consequently formulated into the grounded theory. In the future, this theory will be the base for methodology. We also plan to develop an evaluation study. All the steps mentioned above are parts of a project called “Crisis Management Innovation of Residential Social Services for the Elderly”.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_07.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>76</pageFrom><pageTo>84</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-007</doi><keywords><keyword>Stress management</keyword><keyword>Residential social care facilities for the elderly</keyword><keyword>Crisis</keyword><keyword>Crisis management</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Kateřina</name><surname>Thelenová</surname><email>katerina.thelenova@tul.cz</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Technical University of Liberec, Faculty of Science, Humanities and Education, Department of Social Studies and Special Educatio</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>ANTUŠÁK, E.: Krizový management. The topic was presented at a literary conference in Spain under the title “New Forms of Devotion and Self-Sacrifice of Beautiful Women in the Vietnamese Romantic Literature of Tự lực văn đoàn”. The theme of the self-sacrifice of heroines in literature helps to illuminate how the authoritative norms of traditional Vietnamese society interact with the influences of Western culture. The issue is touched upon at two levels: at the level of historical change and in reflection of the “Tự lực văn đoàn” literary movement. First, we characterize the literary movement as a whole. After introducing the writers and their typical heroes, we focus on one author: Khái Hưng, and the main features of his work. In the commentary, we discuss the content of his novel In the Midst of Spring. By characterizing the protagonist, we try to interpret the position of women in Vietnamese literature and society during the colonial period. She mirrors strong social tensions. Ultimately, literary works have contributed significantly to a better perception and position of women in Vietnamese society.
<pdfFileUrl>https://acc-ern.tul.cz/archiv/PDF/ACC_2022_3_09.pdf</pdfFileUrl><publicationDate>2022-12-31</publicationDate><pageFrom>92</pageFrom><pageTo>98</pageTo><doi>10.15240/tul/004/2022-3-009</doi><keywords><keyword>Contemporary Vietnam</keyword><keyword>Social norms</keyword><keyword>Role of women</keyword><keyword>Romantic literature</keyword><keyword>Modernization</keyword></keywords></languageVersion><authors><author><name>Julie Lien</name><surname>Vrbková</surname><email>lien.v@seznam.cz</email><order>1</order><instituteAffiliation>Masarykova univerzita, Filozofická fakulta, Seminář vietnamských studií</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author><author><name>Michal</name><surname>Schwarz</surname><email>schwarz@phil.muni.cz</email><order>2</order><instituteAffiliation>Masarykova univerzita, Filozofická fakulta, Seminář vietnamských studií</instituteAffiliation><role>AUTHOR</role></author></authors><references><reference><unparsedContent>SCHWARZ, M.: Antropologie sociálních vztahů v soudobém Vietnamu.
